Big Blue Diving Centre

Big Blue Diving Centre is a great diving school! I had two really nice dives with Cebile who is a very professional dive master. Very experienced, patient and she knows the dive site very well. Sodwana Bay is a great place to dive when you are in South Africa.

My father and I had the pleasure of diving with Big Blue today in Sodwana and were very pleased with our experience. Besides the absolutely incredible reef and all the amazing animals we saw including 2 sharks and 4 ginormous rays, bluefin kingfish and honestly too much to list, I have to compliment the staff that looked after us so well. We were greeted by a very friendly face at the shop, Lois, and he helped us with any questions and bookings we needed, he also managed to join us on one of the dives and he certainly knows his nudibranks (which was a highlight for me to see). We then met everyone on the beach the next morning and thanks to Mxolisi and Vuyo, everything was set up and ready for us like we were royalty. The gear was new and kept in very good condition and like I said , besides checking my gear, we honestly didn't lift a finger. Our skipper, Siya, made sure that we were safe and comfortable on the lounge suit of a boat (there are couches....on a dive boat!!! Yes, I said couches). He also glided through the surf and his experience was admired. Saving the best for last, our DM, Cecile, was great. She knows these reefs like the back of her hand and she certainly made an effort to show us all the cool things (and all the nudis which made me very happy but my father couldn't understand why I wanted to look at slugs). Her pace was perfect especially with me having a camera and the visibility not being great , it was really nice not to rush. The entire team was very friendly and professional, I definitely recommend their services.
