Ban's Diving Resort

I came here to complete my Rescue Diver training, a course that strongly emphasizes safety, awareness, and responsibility toward other divers Unfortunately, my actual experience did not reflect those standards. The condition of some equipment, the level of supervision, and parts of the in-water experience made me feel less safe than I should have during a course centered on diver safety. Training environments should reinforce confidence and proper safety practices, not create doubt. I hope the shop reviews its procedures so future students receive the level of safety and professionalism this course is meant to represent. I also encountered problems with scheduling and course organization, which further reduced my confidence in the professionalism of the operation.

We had a deluxe pool sight room. The room was good, cleaned every day with fresh towels. The only thing that was not really cleaned were the floors. They fixed our wish for a double bed within one day and we could extend our stay easily. The walls are quite thin and as some guests come here after partying it might get a little loud during the night. But it was alright. The staff here is really nice and the outdoors are really well maintained and super pretty. There are many plants, trees and flowers everywhere, which also helps to cool down the hotel area. The location is super central on Sairee Beach so that you can easily walk to shops like 7eleven, wonderful bars, cafes and restaurants and go to any location on the island without problems. If you dont like the party vibe too much, you should book a room on the upper part of the hotel area. There you will not hear anything from the busy walking street area but still have everything really near. One downside was the breakfast for us. The coffee is only instant coffee and the food did not really look fresh. You can have better coffee and food in their own restaurant which is right underneath the hotel breakfast area. We did not try their diving course so we have nothing to say about that.

I did my Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses here with Aon as my diving instructor, and he is absolutely the best. Super professional, kind, and genuinely fun to be around. He always made us feel safe, calm, serene, and happy underwater. I originally booked only the Open Water course, but after such an amazing experience with Aon, I changed my plans, extended my stay in Koh Tao, and went for the Advanced Open Water certification as well. Luckily I got him as my teacher on both! I honestly don’t have enough words to thank Aon for being such an incredible instructor and photographer. He went above and beyond and took beautiful photos and videos of us and the marine life during our dives, leaving us with unforgettable memories. Thanks to Aon, I completely fell in love with diving. 3>
