Bali Dive Resort and Spa

We had a wonderful time spending our vacation at your hotel! There are so many things we loved about our stay. The staff is incredibly responsive and welcoming, with a warm attitude but never intrusive. The whole territory is well-maintained and beautiful. We really appreciated the help with orientation in the area and assistance with renting a bike. A special shout-out to the diving instructors! As beginners, we felt completely safe and confident with them. The food was delicious, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and housekeeping was always timely. As for the location: it’s not in a very tourist-developed area, which for us was actually a plus, since it’s quiet and not crowded. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the nearest public cafés, which can be a bit inconvenient if you want to eat out. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and would be happy to come back again!

Stayed one week at Bali Dive Resort and Spa at Tulamben and it was overall a pleasant and relaxing stay as I envisioned it. I had chosen fullboard, the room with the seaview, did my Reactivate, Advance Open Water and Nitrox courses here as well ordered transportation from and to the DPS airport. The positives: - Clean, luxurious, relaxing atmosphere - Large room - Nice, caring and helpful staff - The diving instructors(Damien, Wayan and Maylise) were very helpful and responsive to my needs during my courses - The dive sites were close to the resort minimising the downtime during multi dives at different dive spots - Delicious meals and decent presentation of the dishes - The wi-fi was excellent There are some improvements that I would like to see for my next stay: - Although the Indonesian/Balinese dishes were decent, some western dishes were bland like the hamburger, pasta with pesto however I did enjoy their pasta carbonara and capricciosa pizza. If the chefs were to season the western dishes during the cooking process would be appreciated instead of having me adding salt and tabasco after the first bite. - Adding a snackbar or vending machine inside the resort The only downside with resort is its location, the trip with the prearranged transportation can take between 2 hours to 3 hours depending on the traffic to/from the airport. However, that is something the resort can not do anything about and the trade off like I mentioned before is the relaxing atmosphere and close proximity of must do dive sites. Overall, I got the impression that the resort was well managed, the staff ensured that I enjoyed my stay and Nicole were quick to respond to my enquiries.

I had my Open Water course here and it was such an amazing experience. The dive sites were all incredible, the staff were hardworking and kind, and my instructor Maylise is the best instructor I could have asked for. She was patient with me, gave clear explanations, and handled panic situations really well. On top of that, they have a smooth and seamless booking process. Everything is paperless ;) Good for ocean ❤️
