I spent two of the best days of my life with Odrik and Baja Ocean Extreme in February 2026. Firstly, we spent a day with gray whales - it was Odrik's know-how and the boat captain's skill that got us close without in any way crowding these incredible animals. And that's a big part of it - the immense love and respect that Odrik showed towards the marine mammals we were encountering came through really clearly and I genuinely felt I both me and the whales were in good hands. The next day we encountered mobula rays and sea lions (snorkelled with them in fact) and had some wonderful encounters with humpbacks and their calves which were sometimes escorted around the bay by a pod of dolphins. Two staggering days on the water. The ocean doesn't ever guarantee such great days but Baja Ocean Extreme can promise you professionalism, peerless local knowledge, a love for their subject, great guiding and quality equipment which makes it more likely, possible and much more pleasurable when it does happen. Recommended absolutely without reserve.
