Aquanauts Dive Shop

I've been diving with Aquanauts in Puerto Aventuras for a number of years now. Every year when I return it feels like a family reunion. They give wonderful personal attention to every diver regardless of certification level or expertise unlike other operators who cater only to elite divers. Their divemasters are intimately familiar with the reef systems between Playa Del Carmen to Akumal, and frequently find those must see aquatic animals that make dives memorable.Their boat, the Nativo, is one of the best dive boats on Riviera Maya - fast, comfortable, and larger than most with specialty customized features for diving. They also offer cenote cavern dives that give you a glimpse into the beauty of the underground river system that flows throughout the Yucatan. Monica Torres, who manages the shop and is the shop's instructor is extremely knowledgeable and professional. So much so that I recently took my EFR/Rescue Diver certifications with her. Aquanauts is highly recommended for diving or when you're looking for instruction from Discover Scuba to PADI Specialty Courses.

I had an absolutely incredible experience diving with Aquanauts! The entire crew was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly – they made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. I completed my open water certification with them, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to do it! Beyond the certification dives, I also did a couple of other dives with them in the Puerto Aventuras bay. The marine life was amazing! I saw sharks, turtles, lobsters, rays, and so much more. It was wonderful. Monica, Z, and the entire boat crew were all superb, and gave great personal attention every time! They had good equipment, a great practical dive boat, and above all, excellent safety precautions. I highly recommend diving with Monica to anyone, she really knows her stuff! I had some of my own gear, but the regulator and BCD that I rented were nice and well-kept. Plus, their dive prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Aquanauts to anyone looking to dive in the area!
