Aquanaut Dive Center

Me and my partner had a really great day out with Aquanaut dive centre and our guide Joel. We were greeted nicely by a guy who I think was the owner when we first visited the shop and we had a nice chat about diving in El Nido and he convinced me that this was a good shop to dive with after visiting each one in the town. We were not disappointed. The price for 3 dives was also the cheapest from all the shops and they gave the bet discount for us having our own gear. We showed up on the day and there was only 3 of us diving with a crew of 6 on a large double decker boat that would normally hold at least 12 divers! We had requested to do the tunnel dive if the conditions allowed it and we were lucky that on the day we were blessed with perfect conditions and this was our first dive of 3 that day. The guys on the board were very helpful and friendly. A nice healthy lunch was also provided with some biscuits after the first dive. 2 very minor negatives was no tea, only coffee on the boat and being English I do love a nice cup of tea in between dives! Haha And the crew although very helpful, kept undoing the straps on my fins which they did thinking it was helpful, but my fins have clips so that once the desired tightness is set you can just use the clips to loosen them enough for getting on and off. I did say to them but I think was lost in translation. But ultimately the right intentions were there and the service was great, so I would definitely recommend these guys again so go and check them out if you are in El Nido.

My son did the PADI open water and AOW + 5 additional days of fun dives with Paul, Melvine and Joel and I joined them on the boat for snorkling and my lifelong friend who is allready an experienced diver joined us for 1 week. We really had a great time together and it was a wonderful experience for all of us. Melvine made underwater pictures of the dives with my son and told me he would send the best ones to me but I am still waiting for them. Still hopeful to get them one day🙏😉 Thanks to the entire Team and the Crew for the wonderful experience.

Maybe it is because there is only 3 of us, the boat use is small and importantly without a toilet. I feel that the dive was a little disorganised because they only started to talk about the dive sites and prepare my diving gear before we depart. 1 of the diver has only 2 dives and he was made to wait for another 1+ hour for our dive and surface interval. There was snacks and coffee, but no towels. The visibility was about 10m but the dive sites were good, which make up the day.
