We took a couple of day trips / scuba diving adventures, organized from Coco Grove, Siquijor. Absolutely fantastic. The coral around Apo Island is huge and seems healthy. Saw sea turtles. Lovely lunch. A great experience.
Best months to visit the island is from January to May (summer) wherein the sea is calm and to avoid the long mountain trek that made my both legs crammed for 2 days. Huhuhu. We went there last Aug 14,2016 but there's a storm in Manila so the sea waves were like roller coaster upon getting to apo island. Be sure to bring enough cash. I almost fainted while trekking the stairs. I'm still safe coz my friends are both nurses. There's no review about the stairs but this one should be a hint to all who wants to go to apo island. Take care! 😊
We had so much fun and experience with the marine creatures like turtles. "The Transformer" like rock formation was what welcomed us to the island. You don't have to go that far from the shore to see the long stretch of coral reefs. It's definitely one of the best diving spots in the whole world at its finest.
