Our family had a very pleasant experience scuba diving here. The diving instructors were excellent, helped us throughout the dive. They made us feel comfortable as well with the water. My sister had a foot cramp in the middle but all that was handled very well by diver Abhishen.
The experience was mesmerising, the agents were very friendly & caring throughout the diving session, hassle free, cost efficient & definitely a must try atleast once in a lifetime, go for it
Had my first and the worst diving experience here in Andaman scuba academic. Firstly let me give you a gist of the school mentioned. I had been to shore diving here with my husband in February and we were made to change into scuba diving suits in one horrible makeshift kind of changing room which was extremely dirty and smelled bad. There was a single common bathroom that was quite unhygienic, disgusting and beyond human use. The post dive shower was yet another story! It was a completely outdoor setup with no walls or doors to speak of! To be precise, the shower comprised of couple of pipes brought down from over head tank! Even after the very bad first impression, we went ahead as we were quite thrilled about the diving per se. We were promised 15mins of the training followed by 30-40 mins of underwater experience with a dedicated diving instructor. The school had overbooked the tourists with limited number of instructors because of which we had to wait for almost an hour at the shore. Now finally coming to the scuba experience per se. The training period was cut short to five minutes and we were taken into water for diving. Believe it or not, the whole underwater experience lasted only for a maximum of ten minutes, which happened to include underwater photo and video session! To our utmost surprise the crew argued that the time passes fast inside the water as though it was some intergalactic travel experience! Even when we showed the call logs on phones we had left on shore ( which showed the duration of in and out of water of 25 mins ) they insisted that it was 45 mins. On further enquiry we got to know that the divers were quite hungry, working since early in the morning and haven’t been able to eat breakfast because of the overbooking done at the diving school office. Hence the instructors were trying to quickly finish off all bookings and call it a day. At that time we were unaware that the diving was possible in Neal island too and the water is said to be very much clean with clear vision compared to havelock and would have costed less too!
