American Divers Phuket

My experience with Gregg at American Divers Phuket was fantastic from start to finish. The communication the day before with him and Tammy was spot on—clear, timely, and took all the guesswork out of the logistics. The van arrival from the hotel and back was perfectly timed, and the vessel itself was excellent: very clean, plenty of amenities to set your gear up, and the food was great! The details from picking a spot near the stern for quicker water entry along with prepping our gear beforehand made everything seamless. I’m an AOW diver and brought my own gear, but I’d managed to forget my mask and torch. Gregg easily sorted me out with loaners, and even provided a computer when mine decided to stop working. We hit some sites near Racha Yai including a nice wreck site with an artificial reef, which was the highlight of the trip. If you want a well-organized, clean, operation with zero stress and a personal touch, Gregg is your guy.

I've done 3 discovery dives, an OW cert course, and 2 dive trips post certification in various parts of the world. I can honestly say that Tam Tam is a wonderfully unique human who was absolutely quintessential to our fantastic experience. Perhaps it is her Thai background, but I believe it is simply a reflection of the kindness and fun-loving attitude that resides in her heart. Generally speaking, the SCUBA instructors/masters I have met are very chill and cool individuals, but Mother Duck (Tam Tam) is truly unique. Personal attributes aside, Gregg (American) and Tam Tam (Thai) run an incredibly solid diving practice. They have great equipment, know local customs, have incredible knowledge sets about diving, and truly enjoy what they do! They do a phenomenal job of having everything set up, so all you gotta do is just show up! There was a third person on our first (of three days), Julien, who was absolutely phenomenal. Very calm and easy to learn from. And a third person/videographer on our final day (I don't have his name written down), who captured some amazing shots of our underwater adventure. Whether you are experienced or brand new, you will not regret signing up for a day (or three!) of diving with this crew. Enjoy!

I had a great diving experience in Phuket, and I’m very grateful to have Gregg as our dive guide. He has decades of experience, which showed in every part of the trip. From the detailed pre-dive briefing to the way he handled safety checks and underwater guidance, everything was calm, organized, and professional. Most of my diving experiences happen on boats, and I can honestly say we were very lucky to have someone as experienced as Gregg leading the dive. He made the entire experience safe, smooth, and enjoyable.
