Aloha Divers

Dive master Robin was punctual, professional, and helpful for my first time diving in Okinawa! Weather was a bit rough so we couldn't go to the more popular spots, but had a lot of fun diving gorilla chop and tofu shop in motobu. I would dive here with Robin again!

Aloha Divers is a great dive shop and one I highly recommend. I reached out to several dive shops with the goal of hitting the Kerama Islands, Dream Hole, and the USS Emmons. You can never plan the weather and dive sites change but this team was very responsive and did the best job of planning ahead and communicating if plans needed to adjust. Initially they weren't going to Kerama Islands on the dates I was visiting so I booked with another dive shop for that experience and Aloha Divers for Dream Hole. The Kerama islands ended up being canceled, which I found out about last minute, but thankfully the team at Aloha Divers was able to add me in for a second day of diving on short notice.(It's the slower season so I would always recommend planning well in advance as this may not be an option during busier times of the year). If you plan to dive with them I recommend a hotel closer to the dive shop as staying in Naha will require a fair bit of driving early in the morning. You meet up at a dock, they send the Google map link so you know you're going to the right place, and then you gear up, do the briefing and head out. Here the boat is often shared with multiple dive shops but they did a great job of keeping our groups together and gear organized. In some cases you come back to the dock for surface intervals. The rental equipment was in very good shape with virtually new wetsuits and perfectly functioning BCDs and regulators. Dream Hole was an outstanding dive! Despite a couple of divers not following safety protocol. Which Robin, our dive master, appropriately addressed, we were able to still enjoy the experience. Gorilla chop was another excellent spot and the swarms of sardines were breath taking! Overall we had some solid muck diving and saw a lot of cool macro. Some highlights were garden eels, nudis, a very large moray eels, the huge swarms of manta, and a rare spotting of a mantis shrimp. Robin even shared some cool photos of the macro and of the Dream hole dive. He was great. Nami was my primary point of contact via email. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and transparent and honest. Responses were prompt and English was not an issue at any point of the process. There are many shops to choose from but this is definitely the one I would recommend above others, especially for English speakers.

I have dived around the world and have to say Aloha was one of the best shops. Robin was fantastic and very informative. He always made sure each diver was safe and comfortable. Spectacular day of diving! I would highly recommend Aloha Divers! Thank you to the entire team!
