We are staying at the hotel next door and so far we are 4 dives in. The great thing is you hop on the boat and travel 5 minutes to one of the many dive sites. The 9am dive is the deeper dive then shallower at 11 and you come back to the dive centre in between. We then have the afternoon free. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We only have 30 dives so were really grateful for our dive master Mario making us feel calm and relaxed and Emiliano for explaining where everything is and welcoming us each day. I will update and mention more names at the end of the trip. We will hopefully do a cenote dive as well. The aim is day on day off and you get a discount for bulk buying dives. I definitely recommend these guys for their professional and friendly service 😁
We had a Amazing time with Akumal Dive Center. Javi was awesome and patient with my daughter while she completed her open water course. The staff were super helpful and responsive to all my annoying questions. As a retired PADI instructor who has traveled, worked and dived all over the world I can be fairly critical of dive operators.They exceeded my expectations. From Caiman Alligators in the Cenote, to Sharks and Turtles on their local house reef. Look no further than Akumal Dive Center for scuba diving in the Akumal area.
