Adventure Divers Lombok, Kuta

Be careful! I actually can't understand the good reviews. We went for a SNORKELING TRIP to the secret gilis and it was such a fail! We only had one snorkeling stop for 30 minutes and not, as the guy told us, two. When you go there, there is TRASH everywhere and it's low season...I guess in two years there won't be anything except trash anymore. It's a horrible sign of environmental pollution and most of the corals are already dead. On the one island they SELL BABY TURTLES, trapped in a bowl of water and you can free them with money. Horrible ANIMAL CRUELTY which should be forbidden! When we asked the guy on the last island where to snorkel, he just laughed at us and said "there is nothing to see and if you wanna see turtles, it's the one in the bowl"....what a stupid reaction is this?! Absolut SCAM and please do not support this. They don't care about environment or anything and I wished I could get my money back...and free those poor turtles!

I just completed my Open Water Diver course with Adventure Rivers Lombok, and I can recommend them highly! From start to finish, the entire experience was professional, safe, and fun.One highlight was my instructor, Agus. He is such a sympathetic, patient, and kind person. He has a way of making you feel completely at ease, even if you’re a nervous about being underwater for the first time. His instructions were clear, and his passion for diving is truly contagious. Thanks to his guidance, I felt confident and safe throughout every dive. The equipment was in good condition, and the team at the shop is welcoming. If you are looking to get certified or just want to explore the beautiful waters around Lombok, look no further. Thank you, Agus, and the whole Adventure Rivers team for an amazing start to my diving journey!

Due to great online reviews and good service when we visited the store, my boyfriend and I booked and paid 6 million IDR each for a 3-day Open Water dive course. We were informed that Day 1 would include theory and a pool session, and 2 dives would be scheduled for Days 2 and 3. On Day 1 we were initially told to arrive at 10am, but at 9am that morning were asked to arrive at 12:30pm instead. After arriving at 12:30pm, we waited for approximately two hours before being informed that the pool was under maintenance. Instead we were asked to go to our hotel and complete the theory independently on the SSI app for the remainder of the day. When I asked to add an extra day onto the course due to day 1 not occurring, the dive centre instead suggested completing the pool theory session in the ocean on Day 2 and then carry out three dives on the final day. We agreed although weren’t super happy, and in hindsight should have not agreed to this. Day 2 went ok but surprisingly, the third dive on day 3 did not take place. They didn’t bring enough tanks on the boat and completely forgot about the deal we made. During the course we didn’t enough time to practice all of the skills, such as mask removal. While our instructor and boat staff were supportive and fun, the overall experience felt disorganised. Paying for a 3-day course but only receiving 2 days was disappointing and damped what should have been a fun experience. I am now planning to take a refresher course with another dive school so I actually feel competent underwater.
